North west of Wellington, you will find these two suburbs.
We first drove to Plimmerton, parked the car and walked, taking photos as we went.
Then it was off to the Pauatahanui inlet for a quick look-see.
These being some of the photos from that day...
This one below, was at the south end of Plimmerton looking back towards the highway.

Hey Pete!
Thanks for the compliment! Sadly we didn't have nearly enough time to do both islands justice, and we only got in to Wellington late and left on the dawn ferry, otherwise I would have given you a shout! I definitely want to come back again and spend a LOT more time :)
