Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast - Cam Theme - 22

About an hour's drive and roughly 50km's north of Wellington, on the Kapiti Coast is where you'll find the town of Paraparaumu.

We like to (strandloop) - walk the beach - and soak up the beauty of the surrounds: Kapiti Island, the view of the south island ranges in the distance, the almost endless beach view towards Paekakariki...

As usual,
There are 11 pics in this week's "CAM".

If there is a particular suburb or Wellington icon you would like to see - it just may already be on my blog. Check the top right of this main page to search it out.

Cam Theme 21 showed a similar photo - taken 50+km's away in Eastbourne but was of yield signs. Interesting...

Paraparaumu beach - driftwood -

Paraparaumu beach - sea gulls doing their thing...
This is looking south.
Strandlopers - I rather like this one...

The term Strandloper comes from the Dutch - Strand = beach and Loper = walker.
