Views from my "office" - Cam Theme - 25

This theme shows views from my "office" - being on the road a lot of the time I'm fortunate to see the ever changing sights from both New Zealand's islands...
Before I get accused of driving recklessly, let me say that the views for this Cam Theme were either taken whilst the car was stopped (or taken by my wife whilst I was driving).

Composition (having to quickly 'point and shoot') and reflection of the windscreen sometimes doesn't make for good technical photos, but I'm sure you'll enjoy them...

There are 11 pics in this week's "CAM" - 10 from me and one guest photo.

If there is a particular suburb or Wellington icon you would like to see - it just may already be on my blog. Check the top right of this main page to search it out.

PETE'S CAM

A view of the city from my 'office' - Wellington

Tunnel Vision

Te Mata Peak - Hawkes Bay, north island east coast

Shadow and Light
The artist in me can't resist a view with contrast such as this - so it's here to share my view.

Field of 'Daisies'
Well OK, a cheesy title but there you go...
Not being a country bumpkin I was actually amazed at how inquisitive these roadside cows are...

Getting there...
Sometimes near the end of the day it's nice to see a familiar part of the road that reiterates the phrase, "not long to go now..."
This one is from the north island.

The open road...
One of my 'symbols' of 'freedom'...
Bridge Crossing -
Winter here in the southern hemisphere, so the trees are bare and thankfully, no snow or ice on the open road...
and no oncoming cars!

Roadblock! - always keeping alert to being safe on the road...
No cell phone coverage in this area meant I'd have to wait a while to report it but I was relieved to see a police car travelling towards this a few minutes later...
