something about the contrast and similar colours of this one appealed to me

and they seem to grow with abundant ease

not surprising then that this is Singapores National Flower

The riverboat cruises are a constant hum on the river.

Here, part of the 'old' city is dwarfed by the skyscrapers of modern Singapore.

Down at the river front in the early morning.

I can't remember where this was at the waterfront, but the scene of empty chairs appealed to me - leaving one to wonder what conversations have taken place here over the decades
