Hodge Podge - Cam Theme - 19

Hodge Podge - the word used to denote a mixture or medley.
Sometimes used negatively it infers the putting together of leftovers and presenting it as unique - hodge podge stew...
Well, I'll leave it to you to make up your own minds on this theme...

NB: Pete'sCam takes a breather for a while and will be updated around 21 April...

As usual,
There are 11 pics in this week's "CAM".

If there is a particular suburb or Wellington icon you would like to see - it just may already be on my blog. Check the top right of this main page to search it out.
Feel free to comment on any image...

Once in a while, the sky paints its own picture.
These cloud formations say it all...

Eatbourne lace...
No explanation needed.

the daily grind...
My wife and I walk the Bay quite regularly. When it rains we sit in the car and watch the world go about its business. This was taken by my lovely wife, so I cannot take any credit for it except give credit...

poles apart...
These are a dying scene in suburbia these days as technology takes over and goes 'underground'.
I took well over 20 photos of these poles in various formats and angles and when viewing the thumbnails, this was the only one which stood out by a mile.
Simplicity rules...

The main reason this image is on the Cam is because I don't know the name of this plant and flower - and am hoping someone who does can leave me a comment. It's an indoor plant (well at our house it is), a vine-type growth which hangs down, these blooms with a sweet scent...

... and now, after an exhaustive search I've found out that this image is Hoya lanceolata bella 'Variegata' . Otherwise commonly known as the "wax plant", "wax vine", or "porcelain flower" - for those of you who were wondering like I was...

- natural clouds - manmade buildings - corrugated sky reflected in the bottom left roof...
what can I say, I'm a contrast 'freak'...

from a dizzy height...
Another cloud formation image with the obligatory attention seeker.

suspended animation - ?...

I just recently finished two plant themes on Pete's Cam and liked how this one came out so much - it's here.
Enjoying the shadow light effect of early morning sunshine through the fence...

Lights on the roof at our local Turkish restaurant...

Where does one put an image of a dragon fly in the Cam themes?
Insects are going to be way down the list and since I don't have a photo collection of insects, here is this one...
