"Turkish Dancers" is how I saw this one

red tulip kaleidoscope
I went a bit artsy fartsy on this one

yellow californian poppy...
often seen in vibrant orange along the roadsides of a New Zealand summer - so to photograph a not-so-oft-seen colour was inevitable for me.
There was a breeze blowing so I'm glad I got the focus here.
Looks like the background is swirling away...
Not bad for a point and shoot camera. What you see is how I took it...

Clematis ? Crab Apple Blossom ?
...dunno...

blue flower
That's what I've called this since I don't know the names of many plants - let alone the botanical names. Please feel free to leave a comment if you know what plant and flower this is.
With blossoms on just about every tree it was hard to pick a "best" photo for here but I think I got it OK on this one...

They 'begged' to be photographed, so I did...
orange lily

I wouldn't have a clue as to the name of this plant, but it seems the leaves are the flowers and the flowers are the leaves...
I was surprised at how all the photos I took of it came out.
My favourite by far...
yellow - green - red

Rhododendron (from the Greek: rhodos, "rose", and dendron, "tree")
I don't like photographing red flowers, but this bee kept me more interested than the result of the colour of this great "rose tree"

Almost looking like the colours of the Argetinian flag (good luck to them in their World Cup Rugby match against South Africa...)
The flower of the Iris - in any colour is a favourite of mine.
