not a sunrise, but rather the sunset reflected in the eastern sky...

after the storm comes sunlight to add dramatic effect on the farm at Nkwe.

all that's missing is a bolt of lightning in the distance...

Arriving from a different time zone, I was always awake early enough to capture some stunning sunrises...

this being one of many, and a stitched panorama of two photos

in summer, you can almost be guaranteed a thunderstorm every afternoon

summer grasses at Nkwe, dancing in the last rays of daylight

And a huge variety of birdlife abounds.

Here, at the BBQ (braai) area are weaver birds, a dove and a Kwevoel enjoying the spoils of leftover watermelon...

Amazingly huge locusts frequent the grounds of Nkwe.

This one has red markings whilst others have blue shades on them.
