blue flower
That's what I've called this since I don't know the names of many plants - let alone the botanical names. Please feel free to leave a comment if you know what plant and flower this is.
The flower of the Iris - in any colour is a favourite of mine.

The main reason this image is on the Cam is because I don't know the name of this plant and flower - and am hoping someone who does can leave me a comment. It's an indoor plant (well at our house it is), a vine-type growth which hangs down, these blooms with a sweet scent...
... and now, after an exhaustive search I've found out that this image is Hoya lanceolata bella 'Variegata' . Otherwise commonly known as the "wax plant", "wax vine", or "porcelain flower" - for those of you who were wondering like I was...

Wellington flowers 2007 - Cam Theme - 17
Greetings to you all for the first PetesCam views of 2007.
Maybe it's the "shocking" weather that has kept me indoors for most of this early summer - or the lazy holiday mood... Either way, these pics from my garden and others' will be the celebratory New Year Cam Theme to kick start 2007.
Enjoy...
Here's a link courtesy of NZ House&Garden magazine - an article with pics that I aspire to be able to take. Paul McCredie is the photographer...

herbal tea anyone?
personally I'd rather blow it to bits whilst making a wish for world peace...
do I sound like a hippie?
I've got a THING for succulents - must be their solid architectural form - or perhaps the fact they are low maintenance plants
inner rose highlightthe bee flew away as I got nearer with the lens, but I am fine thank you - escaped without being stung... this being the result
I wonder what this would look like as a painting with a tree frog resting on it...
It might even appear on my ArtBlog at some stage when I tire of red eyed tree frogs.
If these are weeds, they're very pretty ones...
not much bigger than the nail of my pinky finger
